Use Case: Requesting Additional Help

How to request extra practice, additional homework, or support from teachers on Speakly.PRO.

Scenario

You want additional practice materials or homework to reinforce your learning on specific topics.

Some homework requests may cost tokens depending on your course settings. Check your token balance before submitting a request.

Step 1: Access the Request System

Go to "Homework" in the sidebar and click "Request Additional Homework". You can also find a "Request Homework" widget on the Dashboard.

Step 2: Fill Out the Request

Topic/Subject

Select from the dropdown or type a custom topic. Be specific -- instead of "I need help with grammar," say "I need practice with past tense irregular verbs."

Complexity Level

  • Simple: Basic exercises, foundational concepts (15-30 min)
  • Medium: Intermediate difficulty, application exercises (30-60 min)
  • Complex: Advanced exercises, integration tasks (60+ min)

Type of Work

  • Exercise Practice: Multiple choice, fill-in-blank, matching, error correction
  • Writing Practice: Essays, short compositions, email writing
  • Speaking Practice: Conversation prompts, recording exercises, pronunciation
  • Reading/Listening: Comprehension exercises, article analysis, video responses

Additional Details

Provide context about why you need practice, specific areas of difficulty, and any deadline.

Example:

"I'm struggling with using the subjunctive mood in Spanish. I understand the rules but have trouble applying them in conversation. Could I get exercises focusing on everyday conversation scenarios? I'd like to complete this by Friday if possible."

Step 3: Choose Checking Method

Your Teacher

Your regular teacher reviews the work. Aligns with your course content and learning style, but depends on their schedule.

Community Pool

Request goes to qualified community teachers. First available teacher claims it. Usually faster response (24-48 hours). Cost varies by teacher rating.

Step 4: Submit the Request

Review All Fields

Verify topic, complexity level, and checking method.

Check Cost (if applicable)

Token cost is displayed on the form. Verify you have sufficient balance.
