Marketplace Licenses
Track school Marketplace packages, seats, expiry, assessment credits, and add-ons.
Organization admins manage Marketplace licenses for the whole school. This includes deciding which package size to buy, monitoring seat and assessment usage, and renewing packages before students lose access to active practice.
What the License Page Shows
Open My School > Marketplace to see:
- total purchased licenses
- active and expired licenses
- used seats and seat limits
- remaining assessment credits
- validity dates
- warnings for licenses that need attention
- add-on spend and token-paid assessment spend
License Fields

| License | Personal self-study or organization package. |
| Seats | How many students can use the school-purchased material. |
| Valid until | The date when active usage expires. |
| Assessment credits | Included writing, speaking, or Live Examiner assessment capacity. |
| Add-ons | Server-priced extensions such as extra seats, assessment credits, or renewal. |
Recommended Cohort Pack
The license page may show a recommended cohort pack. This compares the current school size and current license capacity, then suggests whether the school should stay on the current package or buy more seats.
Use this before launching a new cohort. It is easier to add capacity before students start submitting assessed work.
Warnings
Warnings mean the license needs attention before more students are assigned:

| Seat limit reached | Buy extra seats or a larger package. |
| Few seats remaining | Check cohort size before assigning more students. |
| Assessment quota depleted | Buy assessment credits or allow token-paid assessment. |
| Assessment quota is low | Add credits before writing or speaking submissions peak. |
Add-ons
Available add-ons depend on the license and its current state.

| Extra seats | A cohort is larger than the purchased package. |
| Assessment credits | Students need more automated writing or speaking feedback. |
| Renewal | The package expired or will expire before the next cohort ends. |
Expired licenses may only show renewal add-ons until the license is active again.
Assessment Billing Policy
Marketplace assessment credits are used first when a student works inside a licensed Marketplace material. If no included credits remain, the platform may charge the organization token balance when school-paid assessment is allowed.
For writing, speaking, or Live Examiner widgets in regular school-created lessons, the same school policy controls whether the organization pays, the student pays, or the assessment is blocked.
Review token-paid assessment spend regularly. It shows where usage has moved beyond included package credits.
Admin Checklist
Before a new exam-preparation cohort starts:
- Confirm that the package will remain valid through the cohort.
- Compare seat limit with expected student count.
- Estimate writing and speaking assessment volume.
- Buy extra seats or credits if warnings are already visible.
- Confirm whether token-paid assessment should be allowed after included credits run out.
